Timothy Cheruiyot also has the best 1500m time out of all the 2019 competitors. He achieved his personal best time of 3:28:41 at 2019 IAAF Diamond League in Monaco. He could also potentially beat his personal time at the 2019 World Championships in Doha. Additionally, Cheruiyot could also surpass Hicham El Guerrouj’s World Championships record time of 3:27.65.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen could cause one of the biggest upsets at the 2019 World Championships in Doha. The Norwegian will be one of the runners to keep an eye on with odds at 11/4. He comes from a family of runners often competing against older brothers Filip Ingebrigtsen and Henrik Ingebrigtsen. Last year, at the mere age of 17, he claimed the 1500m gold medal at the European Championships. Additionally, he’s also the Norwegian 1500m  2017, and 2018 National Championships winner.

Fortunately, with the 2nd best odds on Unibet Sportsbook, he could also conquer the World Championships. As a result, Ingebrigtsen could potentially stop Kenya from claiming their 5th consecutive 1500m World Championships win. You can bet on 1500m men World Championships youngster Jakob Ingebrigtsen to claim his 1st World Championships gold.

Elijah Motonei Manangoi looks to once again raise Kenya’s flag high at the World Championships

Elijah Motonei Manangoi (13/2) is also among the top Kenyan runners on Unibet Sportsbook expected to shine in Doha. He claimed Kenya’s 4th consecutive 1500m World Championships gold in 2017. This year, you can bet on 1500m World Championships Manangoi achieve the same success in Doha.

The Kenyan runner will start the 2019 World Championships with the following honors in 1500m:

  • 2015 Beijing World Championships (Silver)
  • 2017 London World Championships (Gold)
  • 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games (Gold)
  • 2018 Asaba African Championships (Gold)

So far this year, he won gold at the 1500m IAAF World Championships in Doha. However, the competition for gold this year is tight with Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Timothy Cheruiyot entering Doha as favorites. Fortunately, it’s predicted that Elijah Motonei Manangoi will still be among the 1500m medalists at the 2019 World Championships.

2017 World Championships bronze medalist Filip Ingebrigtsen unlikely to be among the medalists in Doha

According to the online sportsbook news in the UK, Filip Ingebrigtsen is among the top 4 1500m World Championships hopefuls. He’s currently the 2nd best runner from the Ingebrigtsen brothers behind Jakob Ingebrigtsen with odds 15/2. Filip Ingebrigtsen was the 2017 World Championships bronze medalist. However, he might not be the runner to bet on 1500m men World Championships on Unibet Sportsbook

Since the 2017 World Championships, he hasn’t recorded any significant 1500m wins. His best result was a 2nd place finish at the Trond Mohn Games in May 2019. As a result, Filip Ingebrigtsen will most likely miss out on  winning a medal at the 2019 Doha World Championships.
