It’s like something out of an episode of the Twilight Zone. Boris Johnson got his dream job, just as it became a complete nightmare. His handling of the current circumstance, and that of his ministers, has been appalling. So, rather than bet on Boris Johnson at the next election, you should try Labour’s Keir Starmer instead. Online sportsbook sites in the UK like Bet365 are already giving him the best of the odds. So is this really all over apart from the squealing? Boris Johnson might have gotten away with it. He bet on UK politics being all about Brexit. That would have been fine. It was all so ridiculously complicated any argument went on until no one remembered where it began. That was just fine for Boris the blustering buffoon. It would have been okay for Britain too. Brexit had hung around so long any movement forward was acceptable. Everyone was willing to bet on Boris Johnson getting as good a deal as anyone else. Whether he will or not, is, of course, still a matter in the balance. Unfortunately, no one is paying much attention at present. You can bet on Boris Johnson being unhappy. Just when he looked set to cruise ahead on a wave of nationalistic jingoism, the world turned. Boris carefully planned his ascent of mount power. Now it is suddenly the slippery slope of actual government. Online betting sites in the UK like Bet365 are already offering odds on his replacement. Says it all about his reaction.

Boris Could Have Done Better But Didn’t

Obviously, these are difficult times, but then difficult times are the true test of a politician. Boris Johnson has, by any metric, failed. His government bungled their response. Even now there is a manifest lack of joined-up thinking in his administration. Matt Hancock and Dominic Raab have demonstrated precisely why they were always B-team players in politics. You can bet on Boris Johnson only keeping them around to make him look good. It takes a lot to make him look good now. An awful lot. Donald Trump is helping. But it is not enough.
UK Overall Majority Odds
  • Liberal Democrat Majority – 25/1
  • Labour Majority – 5/2
  • Hung Parliament – 7/4
  • Conservative Majority – 3/2
This is partly the unfortunate turn of events, but given Brexit still languishes in the long grass, he was always going to have issues. He still might. Jeremy Corbyn was a PR disaster too easily sent packing looking like an irate teacher trolled. However, his replacement, Keir Starmer, is a completely different kettle of fish. The former QC is a tougher nut to crack. Indeed if you’re going to take advantage of UK gambling laws to bet on the next UK PM, pick Starmer and don’t bet on Boris Johnson.

Bet On Boris Johnson Or Keir Starmer At Bet365

You simply can’t bet on Boris Johnson being able to bumble through an election. He will not be able to counter coherent arguments from Keir. Starmer already makes him look foolishly ill-prepared in Prime Minister Questions. Last time his bumbling loveable loony routine endeared him to people. Now his clownesque reputation will be a millstone around his neck. No one is going to forget. Dominic Cummings might wish otherwise, but he’s another whose dreams turned sour.
Odds On Next UK PM
  • Priti Patel – 25/1
  • Sajid Javid – 22/1
  • Jeremy Hunt – 20/1
  • Matthew Hancock – 18/1
  • Dominic Raab – 14/1
  • Michael Gove – 12/1
  • Rishi Sunak – 7/2
  • Keir Starmer – 11/8
So, if you still can’t bet on sports in the UK, at least you can bet on Boris Johnson losing. Labour get 5/2 to beat him, and there’s only 7/4 on offer for a Hung Parliament. People may have now forgotten but that’s how split the nation was back before all this began. Remainers and Leavers, remember them? Well once all this dies down you can bet they’ll be back, except this time there will be someone across the dispatch box who can actually hold Boris and his boys to account. Keir Starmer.

There’s no point putting a bet on Boris Johnson to be anything except replaced once the nation returns to the polls.
