Casino Gambling in Vietnam Finally Allowed for Locals

Following the government’s decision, casino gambling in Vietnam will be finally available to locals as well from the 15th of March.

Today, the Vietnamese government has lifted the ban from casino gambling, for a three-year pilot period. According to the Daily Mail, locals older than 21 years old with a monthly income over $445 will be allowed to visit casinos, which in the past was a privilege of tourists. Reports show that a huge number of Vietnamese people are into gambling, especially sports betting and lottery type games. From now on, they can enjoy legal and regulated casino gambling in Vietnam for at least three years. Once the pilot program is over, “the government will decide whether to continue Vietnamese people’s access to casinos,” says the government.
