You could use a whole host of words to describe the Belgian Grand Prix. Unfortunately, the vast majority of these are unpublishable. Most people have settled on “farce” and that’s almost too polite for what will remain a stain on F1’s history. However, as those who like to bet on sports in the Netherlands at Bet365, and bet on F1 in particular, will tell you, fans forget quickly. So, if it’s a good race, you can bet on the Dutch Grand Prix erasing, in the short term, the disaster before it.

Today was a farce.” Lewis Hamilton pulled no punches after heavy rain had rendered the Belgian Grand Prix a joke. “We should have just called it quits.” He’s right. However, to avoid having to refund the punters the F1 authorities pretended a race happened. Two laps behind the safety car and it was all over. Max had won, albeit with only half points. Lewis back in fourth was fuming. So you can bet on the Dutch Grand Prix getting quite intense. If it doesn’t rain. So far you can relax, the weather report shows the rain holding off till after the race. Of course, just how far you want to trust weather reports is up to you. Certainly, those who will bet on the Dutch Grand Prix at Bet365 will prefer an actual race. The fans definitely win. You can expect Zandvoort to throng with those who’ve bet on Max Verstappen. Expect a sea of orange. Which means the odds on Max Verstappen at online betting sites in the Netherlands ought to be better.

Bet365 Has All The Odds On The Dutch Grand Prix

They’re not. Most of the online bookies in the Netherlands and elsewhere have Max and Lewis level pegging. Now you might think the odds on Lewis Hamilton will lengthen slightly, but don’t bet on it. You can’t really bet on Lewis Hamilton falling too far behind just because Max knows the circuit better. Drivers don’t really get much home-court advantage. So we’ll get to see a real level pegging race if the rain stays away. If it doesn’t, we’ll probably get some high drama.
Bet On The Dutch Grand Prix
  • Anyone Else – 100/1
  • Lando Norris – 33/1
  • Charles Leclerc – 33/1
  • Valtteri Bottas – 16/1
  • Sergio Perez – 16/1
  • Max Verstappen – 11/10
  • Lewis Hamilton – 11/10
So whilst you can bet on the Dutch Grand Prix being more exciting if it rains most fans will prefer a more hum-drum race this weekend. Certainly, those in attendance will prefer that to pointlessly getting soaked for several hours. Of course, after Belgium, they’ve said they’ll change the regulations (F1’s stock response to crisis). Perhaps they will, if you’re Dutch gambling laws of common sense will see F1 prevent this happening again, think again. They’re not that smart.

Bet On The Dutch Grand Prix Actually Going Ahead

They should have called off the Belgian Grand Prix that morning and not pretended it would be okay. Fans may forget how inconsiderate that was, but the media won’t. They were wholly unimpressed. Another race like that and they’ll wonder if it’s worth the money. Of course, you’ll already guess that the odds on F1 suffering the same fate twice in a row is unlikely. However, if you are going to bet on the Dutch Grand Prix do keep one eye on the horizon. It could get silly.
F1 Driver’s Championship Odds
  • Anyone Else – 1000/1
  • Valtteri Bottas – 200/1
  • Sergio Perez – 200/1
  • Lewis Hamilton – 5/6
  • Max Verstappen – 5/6
Obviously, you can bet on Mercedes and indeed bet on Red Bull, to come out all guns blazing. However, that performance by Williams will probably give them the confidence to push their luck a bit. Just as Lando Norris did in Belgium. So, if the rain stays away, we’ll have a good day, a good race, and something worth hitting up Bet365 or any of the online sportsbook sites in the Netherlands to wager on. If not, there’s a good chance we’ll see another F1 Farce in action.
