The Vogtland Arena in Klingenthal has been holding World Cup races since 2008/09 and it will do the same this year as well. Even though spectators will not be allowed to cheer the athletes this time.  The venue has already hosted the last Grand Prix race of the 2021 summer season. Where Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi was the winner ahead of Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud. Now both athletes can aim for the World Cup victory along with the local favorites, Karl Geiger and Markus Eisenbicher. Geiger currently leads the overall standing after five races ahead of Slovenian Anze Lanisek. While Granerud won both competitions here in the previous season. He is not in his top form though so we shall see if he can get back to winning at this famous venue.

2021/22 FIS World Cup Klingenthal Odds Mention Several Favorites

Ryoyu Kobayashi won the overall World Cup in the 2018/19 season when he actually won all five disciplines. Since his outstanding year, the Japanese skier hasn’t been able to win the Crystal Ball. But he was second in last year’s Ski Flying World Cup. Kobayashi has one victory in the new season from Ruka after missing two events. He will be back again now and is favored to finish on top in Klingenthal. Where the Japanese got the victory a few months ago in a Grand Prix race. So it’s not surprising that online sportsbooks in Germany offer the smallest odds, 5.00 for his win now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiJ8f81qncs Even though there are several great ski jumpers in the field who can all fight for the win. Like the current overall leader, Karl Geiger who won the first race in Russia this season. He also finished second on two more occasions. Geiger is the current Ski Flying world champion who was the runner-up in the 2019/20 World Cup season. He has never won in Klingenthal so far, but after his great form, it might change now. The German has the odds of 6.00 to get the victory in the 2021/22 FIS World Cup Klingenthal odds.

Previous Winners Like Kraft and Granerud Can Perform Well Again

Stefan Kraft has two podium finishes this season, but he can easily get the win this weekend. The Austrian is one of the greatest ski jumpers of recent years after winning the Overall and Ski Flying World Cup twice. He also got three gold medals from the World Championships besides five silver and four bronze medals. Kraft holds the Ski Flying world record with 253,5 metres which he achieved in 2017. Last year he was struggling with injuries but he did win a race in the summer. Now his odds to win in Germany are also 6.00 on 22Bet.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg0IFUwYGVk The defending Overall World Cup winner, Halvor Egner Granerud is also mentioned in the favorites by online gambling sites in Germany. The Norwegian won one race this season but he currently stands only in 8th place in the overall table. Granerud was outstanding last season after winning 11 races. While he also helped the Norwegian team to win the gold in the 2020 Sky Flying World Championship. Granerud won both races in Klingenthal last year which can be a good sign ahead of the weekend. Another German favorite, Markus Eisenbichler was the runner-up behind Granerud in the previous Overall World Cup. Now he stands in third place after two podium finishes this season. His odds to get his fourth World Cup victory on home soil are 13.00.
