A parliamentary committee has passed the Japan gambling bill that would legalize integrated casino resorts in the country.

As we previously reported, the Japanese parliament is about to decide whether casino gambling should be allowed in the country. Following the Japan gambling bill’s approval by an upper house committee it’s up for a final vote on Wednesday. If the bill passes, a second legislation will follow it to specify the details for the integrated resorts. The news boosted the share price of interested companies, such as Las Vegas Sands and MGM Resorts.
