  • 2022 WTA Miami Open continues with the fourth round on Monday
  • The new world No1, Polish Iga Swiatek is the biggest favorite
  • Naomi Osaka can also win her first tournament following her big hiatus and poor results
The 2022 WTA Miami Open continues with the last 16 matches this Monday, with several seeded players have been already out of the competition. The world No2 Iga Swiatek is still in and favored by the 2022 WTA Miami winner odds to get the trophy. But Naomi Osaka and other top-form players like Paula Badosa and Danielle Collins will also fight for victory.  The defending women champion of the Miami Open, Ashleigh Barty announced her retirement from the sport last week. Her statement also meant that she won’t defend her title in the WTA 1000 tournament at the Hard Rocks Stadium. Following the first three rounds, we could also see other top players ending the event from the top seed, Aryna Sabalenka to world No3 Maria Sakkari. From the top 10 seeded players, only four are still in the competition including the world No2 Polish player, Iga Swiatek. She will take over the world No1 spot from Barty after the Australian player asked for her removal from the rankings. Swiatek has become the biggest favorite of this open, along with some familiar names. Like the four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka or the two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova. But players in top form such as Paula Badosa and Danielle Collins can also reach the final on Sunday.

Swiatek Leads the 2022 WTA Miami Winner Odds

Iga Swiatek will meet American teen star Coco Gauff in the last 16 and is favored to win the match by online sportsbooks in the US. They also offer the smallest odds, +185.00 for her final victory in their 2022 WTA Miami winner odds. The 20-year-old Polish player is on a 13-match winning streak with two back-to-back Masters wins from Qatar and Indian Wells. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIObgwv69Xw Swiatek will also become the new world No1 after the removal of Ashleigh Barty’s results. She is the first Polish player to reach this success. With a victory in Miami, the 2020 French Open winner can follow the sample of Serena Williams of winning three Masters titles in a row.  One player who might be able to stop her is the former world No1 Naomi Osaka. Even though the Japanese player is only in 77th place in the world rankings at the moment, she has the odds of +300.00 to win the tournament. The four-time Grand Slam winner reached the quarterfinal here last year when she lost eventually against Maria Sakkari. Osaka missed the end of last season and was knocked out early in the 2022 Australian Open. She only reached the second round in the Indian Wells Open but won her first two games easily here. Now she will face American Alison Riske in the last 16, who will try to reach her third WTA 1000 quarterfinal.

Badosa, Collins, and Kvitova Can Also Win The Trophy

Paula Badosa is currently in sixth place in the world rankings. While she reached her career-best position, the fourth-place last month. The Spanish player won her third WTA title in Sydney this year and reached the fourth round in the Australian Open. Though she was knocked out early in Dubai and Qatar, played much better in Indian Wells. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mx7sakYg7kw Badosa was close to defending her title there but Maria Sakkari stopped her in this year’s semi-final. Now she can get an even better result in Miami. With the odds of +500 on BetOnline to win her second WTA 1000 tournament.  This year can bring a major breakthrough for American Danielle Collins who was the runner-up in the 2022 Australian Open. The 28-year-old made her top 10 debut thanks to this great result but hasn’t played much since due to her injury. She got through easily to the fourth round in Miami but her next opponent will be a tough one. As Collins will meet world No10 Ons Jabeur in her next match. Online gambling sites in the US offer similar odds for both players’ victory. They mention them with the odds of +1200.00 and +1400.00 to go all the way. Another exciting tie can be the match between Veronika Kudermetova and Petra Kvitova. The former Czech world No2 has the odds of +1800.00 to win her first title since last March. But first, Kvitova needs to win against her Russian opponent who has been in great form this season.
