This year might be different from any other year before but there can’t be Christmas without Premier League football. Luckily fans can still see the best of English football at the holidays. The best time of the year will be different in most countries this time. People will spend lots of time at home and in front of the TV watching whatever is available. Premier League games are still in the best sports events at Christmas

Even though there have been arguments over festive period football in England, fans can still watch their favorite teams on Boxing Day. But the biggest game will be the reigning champions, Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Dallas Mavericks. Or as most people see it, the duel between LeBron James and the NBA All-Star Luka Doncic.

This year there won’t be any NHL games at Christmas due to the delayed start of the new season.There was a possibility this time that the new season might start in December with games at Christmas. But it won’t happen now after the new starting date in January. Normally MLB games are not something that we could see in the winter. But after the delayed season it was also an option this year. As only 8 stadiums have roofs, holding games in winter could have been a major issue at several clubs. So the schedule remained with it’s normal dates. Which means baseball fans need to wait until next April to see their favorites again.

PDC Darts World Championship 2021

One of the best sports events at Christmas is definitely the PDC Darts World Championship which is held between the 15th of December and the 3rd of January. Even though this year it is quite a different experience without the singing fans, who always made a special atmosphere at Alexandra Palace. But luckily all top darts players are here from world No1 Michael van Gerwen to defending champion Peter Wright.

Fans can’t watch any games at Christmas but there are several before and after the holidays. Even on the first day of the new year, when the four quarter-finals will take place. Horse racing at Christmas

Usually the horse racing calendar is full with events at the Christmas holidays. But in 2020 it has gone through several changes moving most events to new dates.
