Donald Trump was a longshot who won. He won because of his name recognition, his celebrity. A famous, familiar, face vast swathes of the nation wanted to identify with. Voicing extreme attitudes so different from the norm they garnered attention far beyond their worth. The press lapped it up, and the electorate did too. They may do so again. Donald Trump still gets odds on the 2024 US presidential election to envy. However, he’s no longer a longshot at just 11/2. There will, in the next few years lots written about Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Journalists will pour over the odds on Joe Biden serving a full term. They’ll wonder if the democrats will bet on Kamala Harris. However, these traditional political candidates will have to remain wary. They may once have dismissed longshots at online sportsbook sites in the US like Bovada. Not now. The odds on the 2024 US Presidential election contain far too many people who could be a threat.

Can A Long Shot Candidate Win In 2024?

So just who are the threats in the long grass? Celebrities hiding out in the background with years ahead before they need declare themselves. Well the most obvious is Dwayne Johnson. The box-office superstar has long heard rumors of his candidacy. You can bet on the Republicans liking it. You can bet on the Democrats making mincemeat of him. He gets 20/1 in the odds on the 2024 US Presidential election. That’s better than either Ted Cruz or Tucker Carlson get right now.

Elon Musk hovers at around 100/1 in the odds on the 2024 US Presidential election. That might seem quite distant, but with his money? Anything is possible. Oprah Winfrey gets much the same price for much the same reason. Money is all important in US politics and these people have enough to bend elections to their will. However, if you’re going to take advantage of US gambling laws to back an outsider in this vote, choose Jeff Bezos. At just 20/1 right now, he’s the wildcard.

Just recently he’s begun to appear a little more like a political candidate than a successful business boss. Ordering a campaign to hit back at critics of Amazon he appears to find focus on his reputation. That’s alarming. This is precisely the sort of thing an analytical man might do before staging an independent run at the Presidency. What are the odds on the 2024 US presidential election featuring leaflets with every Amazon delivery extolling you to vote Bezos?
Joe Biden To Serve Full Term
  • Yes – 4/7
  • No – 11/8
Even Elon and his rockets would have a hard time countering that campaign. The odds on US politics, and the odds on the 2024 US presidential election in particular, worry people. They seem to point towards a future where the rich buy power far more obviously than at present. Where the veil is torn aside. Celebrities now see no bar to running for office. Their fame will be enough. And worse the prices at online betting sites in the US like Bovada seem to suggest they’re right.
