Moved to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, this will be a different Indian Premier League. There won’t be any of the big-crowd atmosphere we’ve come to know and love. However, you can always bet on T20 cricket to offer up spectacular sport regardless of where it happens. So, before the tournament gets underway we thought we’d look for the best bet on the 2020 IPL currently on offer for you at online sportsbook sites in India like Bet365.
They had to relocate the tournament. The on-going public health emergency made holding it within India tricky. Fortunately, the United Arab Emirates came to the rescue offering up the facilities necessary. This means some of the most talent-packed teams in the world are back again to do battle. Last year the Super Kings lost to Mumbai by just one run. The final went down to the last ball. It’s that close a contest. So let’s see which team is the best bet on the 2020 IPL.
- Rajasthan Royals – 10/1
- Kings IX Punjab – 8/1
- Delhi Capitals – 7/1
- Royal Challengers Bangalore – 7/1
- Chennai Super Kings – 5/1
- Kolkata Knight Riders – 5/1
- Sunrisers Hyderabad – 9/2
- Mumbai Indians – 4/1
The Rajasthan Royals are the long shots in this year’s tournament. It says much for just what competition that aside with their line up can be the 10/1 shots. You’d think a team with Steve Smith, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer in it would be a great bet on sports in India. Alas, not. They have issues with getting a decent playing 11 for all eventualities. So, alongside the 8/1 Kings XI Punjab, featuring Chris Gayle and co, they’re not actually the best bet on the 2020 IPL.
They may well get the same odds at the bookies like Bet365. 7/1 if you must know. However, that doesn’t mean the Delhi Capitals and the Royal Challengers Bangalore have the same chances. Only the RCB have Virat Kohli, Aaron Finch, and Moeen Ali. That sort of talent is hard to counter. Sure the likes of Shimron Hetmyer and Jason Roy could surprise, but so might they all. Either which way neither of these sides is the best bet on the 2020 IPL, but they’re still a good one.
The bookies and online betting sites in India might give them the same prices, but these are very different teams. The Super Kings came so close to winning last year they could taste it. They’ll want a second bite of that cherry. You can expect big things from Sam Curran, Josh Hazlewood, and of course Shane Watson. The KKR might think it can challenge that with the likes of Eoin Morgan but they’re probably wrong. At 5/1 either of these is a great, if not the best bet on the 2020 IPL.
These two really are the best bet on the 2020 IPL you can grab. The Sunrisers Hyderabad have David Warner, the fabulous Dhuvneshwar Kumar, and Jonny Bairstow so they, at 9/2 are a great reason to take advantage of Indian gambling laws. However, the Mumbai Indians have a depth of talent that almost allows them to field two full teams. This means they can ring the changes and keep people fresh. Which is why at 4/1 they are the best bet on the 2020 IPL you can get right now.
We take a look at the teams which will fight it out for the most important trophy in T20 cricket right now and see which is the best bet on the 2020 IPL.
