Red Bull's Max Verstappen appears top be the favourite as far as betting odds for the Japanese Grand Prix 2024 at Suzuka go. This is no real suprise as here's won there over the last coupe of years. Hamilton seems to have lost his will to win and apart from a few other drivers, no one is coming close enough to Verstappen to grab the number one spot on the podium.

The 2024 Formula One season is ongoing, and now it’s time for the Japanese Grand Prix 2024 at Suzuka. It’s the second time in a little over six months that the F1 teams are racing on this track, which gives us a good idea of how much they’ve improved or worsened since the last race here in September. Max Verstappen is expected to be the top contender again, as his car performs well on the Suzuka circuit. Despite his earlier retirement in Australia, he’s leading the championship standings by four points over Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, and his Red Bull team is ahead of Ferrari overall. Since McLaren performed strongly here in 2023, it will be interesting to see if they can challenge Ferrari as Red Bull’s main rival in Japan.

Japanese Grand Prix 2023 Pre-Qualifying Favourites

One of the best online sportsbooks in the UK, Bet365 Sportsbook, has the drivers down with the following odds.

Max Verstappen (-500 to -400)

Verstappen has been winning a lot in recent seasons, and after the disappointment in the last race, he’ll be aiming to add another win to his record. He’s been the winner of this race for the past two years and is heavily favored to make it three in a row.

Sergio Perez (+1,100 to +1,200)

Perez is once again in second place, trailing his Red Bull teammate Verstappen. While he finished behind Max in the first two races of the season and missed the podium in Australia, he’s eager to secure a podium finish in Japan.

Carlos Sainz Jr. (+1,200 to +1,800)

Ferrari teammates Sainz Jr. and Charles Leclerc are closely matched on the odds board after both finishing on the podium in the last race. Sainz Jr. has achieved two podium finishes in three races so far and will aim to win consecutive races to put pressure on Verstappen early in the Drivers’ Championship.
